Property:
We lease a 6-acre property complete with a cabin, storage facilities, water tank, garbage disposal, parking lot and kennel facility.
Kennel:
2-acres protected by an extremely durable 8ft. high chain link fence. This keeps our 4-legged family of husky heroes safe when enjoying their daily free run as well as keeping any wildlife out of the kennel. Our kennel is split into two sections, one that houses all our males and the other, all our females.
Pens:
We have three medium sized pens situated within the kennel. These pens are used for expectant females, puppies, dogs in recovery or any dog who does not like to be tethered. Outside the kennel adjacent to our cabin are 2 large pens suited for our older dogs as we prefer to keep our seniors off tether and nearby our cabin.
Cabin:
Located in the middle of the property, our cabin is the kennel headquarters – it is where we start and finish our day! Inside a wood burning stove heats the building where we have our washing station, supplement and special feed storage, veterinary/medical station, whelping area and more.
Water Tank:
Situated behind our cabin, our 5000-gallon water tank supplies the most important component in sled dog care – hydration. This tank is filled every week to ensure that we always have plenty of water for the dogs, the daily laundry of dog beds, dish washing, filling the doggie pools or running the doggy sprinklers.
Walk-In-Freezer:
Our walk-in freezer is where all our meat treats are stored. Cubed treats that are never thawed and kept frozen to be given to our pack as daily snacks fill this freezer!
Storage:
We have plenty of storage on site for dog food and supplements, equipment and gear, tools and machinery, straw and wood shavings and more
